The Fall River Herald News showing some of the pictures I submitted to them that they also published.  among those in the parade included included Joseph P. Kennedy, III and Dr. David Steinhof who are both running for Congress in the 4th Congressional District.  
The Freetown Parade first started back in the early 60’s when I was Chairman if the Freetown Board of Selectmen and then Selectman Harold Cummingham made the suggestion at one of our meetings that Freetown should try and have a parade that year and so we did.  With a lot of help from many of the Freetown Residents and with none of us having any experience in running a parade, we somehow successfully managed to put that first parade together and since then, it has continued and grown each year to what it is has become today as is shown in these pictures.
