Robyn D. Wing, Providence College ’05, is a forth year student at the University
of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts

Robyn D. Wing, a Fall River resident and 2001 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High
School, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Biology from Providence College. In addition, Robyn will received
a Liberal Arts Honors Certificate, had been designated the recipient of this
year’s award for the student with the highest academic record in Biology at
Providence College, and was also be presented with the Stephen J. Ryan, M.D.,
’30 Distinguished Student Award. The Ryan Award is given to a graduating
Providence College senior who has been accepted for admission to a United States
medical school and who possesses "the characteristics of integrity, compassion,
and personality that would make for the ideal physician."
Ms Wing attends the University of Massachusetts Medical School in
Worcester, Massachusetts. The University of Massachusetts
Medical School has been rated by US News and World Report as the third
best medical school in primary care in the United States. Robyn was also
accepted for admission to the Brown University Medical School, Dartmouth College Medical
School, and the Georgetown University Medical School.
Among Ms Wing’s other accomplishments is her service for two years as the
President of Providence College’s Chapter of the National Society of Collegiate
Scholars. Last year, at her invitation Rhode Island US Senator, Jack Reed,
addressed this organization at its annual ceremony for installation of new
members.
Ms Wing is the daughter of Frank W. Wing and Carol A. Hryciw-Wing, also
graduates of B.M.C. Durfee High School.
