Group wins Videomaker Expo East Contest Two Years In A Row
East Rutherford,
NJ – A local group of videographers recently came in first place for the
second year in a row in the “Instant Stories Contest” sponsored by Videomaker
Magazine. The contest was held at the Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East
Rutherford, NJ as part of the Videomaker East EXPO.
The contest rules are that all participants meet in the Sheraton Hotel
Auditorium at a specific time and then they are given the theme of the video
The contestants then have to produce a video on that theme and have it completed
within one hour. The video has to be under five minutes in length and shot in
sequence with all editing done in camera. The contestants generally consist of
videographers that come from various parts of the eastern United States.
The local group that won the contest this year consisted of Russ Dougherty, who
was the director and camera operator along with his son, Shawn Dougherty and
Brian Mikkdlson all from Westport and David and Neil Sinclair, from New Bedford
along with Frank Wing from Fall River.
